This full chart walkthrough shows how to read Structure Participation Matrix from the newest
confirmed break to its later endpoint check. The video uses a continuous Bar Replay sequence rather
than isolated winning examples: new records appear on closed bars, their four component readings
freeze, and both HELD and FAILED observations remain in the ledger.
The indicator is an analytical overlay for chart study. It does not create entries, stops, targets,
position sizing, execution instructions, forecasts, or probabilities.

Start with the newest event
Each event begins with an eligible strict swing. The swing is not available until the full
right-side confirmation window has closed, and equal highs or lows are rejected. A break then
requires a confirmed close beyond that level plus the selected ATR buffer. A wick through the line
does not create a record.
The newest event label shows direction and, when the required data exists, a frozen score and
quality band. The line under the label is the broken swing level; the shaded box marks the
structural leg that was measured. Its endpoint state is either pending or already latched as HELD
or FAILED.
Read the four components before the score
The compact rail under the newest scored event shows four values fixed at the break close:
- PATH describes how direct or hesitant the completed leg was.
- CLOSE summarizes directional close location near the end of that leg.
- REL VOL compares average chart-reported or tick volume across the leg with a rolling median.
- BALANCE weights that chart volume by close location to form an OHLCV proxy.
REL VOL and BALANCE are deliberately limited. They are not bid/ask delta, order flow, a footprint,
or evidence of participant identity. When bounded leg history or usable volume is missing, the
break remains visible as UNSCORED and stays out of the score buckets. The overlay does not invent a
replacement value.
The composite is a description of the completed leg at the time of the break. The replay includes
a HIGH-scored event that later finishes FAILED, making the boundary visible: a strong participation
reading is not protection against a later outcome.
HELD is one timed endpoint, not the whole path
After exactly the configured number of confirmed bars, the script compares one close with the
broken level. HELD means that endpoint close is still on the broken side; FAILED means it is not.
The result is recorded once and then fixed.
One replay episode closes back through its broken level while the endpoint is still pending, then
finishes HELD at the check. That example matters because HELD does not mean price stayed beyond the
level throughout the interval. It does not say whether a stop or target was touched, whether a
trade was profitable, or what happened between the break and the endpoint.
Read the matrix count first
The panel groups resolved scored events by their frozen score buckets. Read the number of resolved
events before the held-at-N share. If a bucket has fewer observations than the Minimum Sample
setting, the panel prints collecting instead of presenting a percentage.
Those counts describe only the chart history currently loaded. Changing the symbol, timeframe,
engine inputs, or available history can change the sample. A market feed without usable volume can
produce visible UNSCORED events while leaving the scored buckets empty. The matrix is therefore a
chart-specific historical record, not a win rate, cross-market ranking, or forecast for the next
break.
A practical reading routine
Start with the newest event and check whether its endpoint is pending or fixed. Next, inspect PATH,
CLOSE, REL VOL, and BALANCE separately before looking at the composite. Then move to the matching
bucket in the matrix and read its resolved count before its historical share. Finally, check the
settings that define the record: Strict Swing Strength, Break Buffer, Outcome Window, and Minimum
Sample.
Visual switches and the maximum number of retained drawings change presentation only. They do not
change the historical calculations, counters, outcome ledger, or alert conditions.
